5 Players To Watch At The Senior Bowl
5. Shawn Oakman – Baylor DE
Shawn Oakman made a lot of noise on social media after the 2015 cotton bowl because of his 6-9, 275-pound frame. However, taking Oakman would make sense for the Rams. The front four could get very thin, very fast for the Rams and Williams Hayes and Eugene Sims are set to hit free agency. Not to mention the uncertain status of Chris Long who holds a high cap number.
Oakman shouldnt be Long’s replacement by any means, but as depth, he may not be a bad choice. The Baylor defensive end finished his career with 46.5 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks. He did have a down year in 2015 with only 4.5 sacks, but it’s hard not to fall in love with his size.
Plus, couldn’t you just see the ultimate troll, Jeff Fisher, roll Oakman out during every coin toss year? If theres no impact on the defensive line at least you have a designated coin toss captain to intimidate that week’s opponent.
