1. QB Marc Bulger 2004
Last and certainly not least, Rams fans can’t forget about Marc Bulger’s 2004 Pro Bowl. Bulger had a season for the ages throwing for 3800 yards and 22 touchdown passes. All seemed lost with the NFC down 38-13, but then entered the Rams quarterback.
Down 38–13, ulger, who had taken over at NFC quarterback from Daunte Culpepper threw two quick touchdown passes to Torry Holt and Keenan McCardell to narrow the score at 38-27.
With less than 14 minutes remaining in the game, the score was 45–27. Bulger quickly threw a scoring pass to tight end Alge Crumpler and then later hit Alexander with another touchdown pass. With former Rams’ Dre Bly’s pick-6, the NFC took the lead and had scored 18 points in eight minutes.
Bulger almost blew the comeback attempt with a late interceptions, but Mike Vanderjagt, who hadn’t missed a kick all season, was wide right on a 51-yard attempt. Bulger set a record with four touchdown passes and the NFC put up a record 42 points in the second half, 28 of which came from Bulger. The NFC won the game 55-52.
