The Draft

Last and certainly not least, we head to the draft. The Rams hold seven picks which include a 1st, 2-2nds, a 3rd, 4th, and 6th. Using FanSpeak’s On the Clock Simulator, here is the mock draft.

In the first round the Rams get their quarterback of the future. While it is unlikely that Wentz is available in April, he was in this situation, so I took him. Also worth noting, I took Wentz over Treadwell.

In the second round I get my receiver in Coleman as well as a Smith as my outside linebacker. My plan would be to move Ogletree to the middle and run the defense. He proved last season that he is ready to take it over.

In the mid-rounds I get depth on the offensive line with Kelly and Drango. Finally I finish up the draft with Bradberry for cornerback depth and possible special teams contributor.

This is my plan, and the only question is, would it be enough to get the Rams to take the next step and succeed in their first season in LA.
