Recently Adam Schefter reported that with Philadelphia Eagles head coach, Doug Pederson, having drafted current Los Angeles Rams quarterback Nick Foles, that the Eagles have had discussions about trading for their former quarterback. However, after the news came out, the Philadelphia media said otherwise.
League source with knowledge of the situation: The Eagles are not considering bringing back Nick Foles, though Pederson did like him..

Source also says cap numbers on Foles being traded by Rams wouldn't work.

Also, Source says no decision has been reached on franchising Bradford. First day for tag Feb. 16, and u don't even have to decide then

#Eagles haven't made a decision on whether or not to franchise Sam Bradford, source says, RE: ESPN report.
— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) February 7, 2016
As for Nick Foles part of ESPN report, his name hasn't even been mentioned in #Eagles discussions. Dead money hit in trade would be huge.

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News and Jeff McLane of Phill.com both weighed in on the situation sharing what their sources have told them. It makes sense that the Eagle should not have made a decision on Bradford yet as its still very early and Pederson just arrived. Also, the franchise tag window doesn’t close until March 1.
Bowen and McLane are correct in saying that Foles does hold a big cap number, but it’s not near as much as what Bradford is going to want. If a trade was in the making, it would be easy to rearrange the numbers on Foles’ contract to make it work if they wanted to.
We have two conflicting reports with a big name guy like Schefter and then beat reporters who cover the team on a daily basis. It’s going to be a while before we see if theres any truth to this. With both team’s current situation at quarterback, it wouldnt be surprising if there weren’t at least discussions with both teams exploring their options.
