Aaron Donald: “It’s about winning games, and that’s what we’re about to start doing.”

Since moving to Los Angeles the Rams players have made their presence known in the media. Several players have done radio interviews since the move, the latest being defensive tackle Aaron DonaldDonald joined Steve Mason and John Ireland on ESPN LA 710 to talk Rams football, and the return of the team to Los Angeles.

Here’s what Donald had to say:

John Ireland: Uh, Aaron Donald from the Rams is with us, he is a defensive tackle. He’s generally regarded as the Rams’ best defensive player.

Steve Mason: 20 sacks in his first two seasons.

Ireland: Yes. He’s only 24. Steve mentioned he grew up in Pittsburgh, he went to college in Pitt, so you’re used to the cold weather. Aaron, it is 81 degrees here today by the way, so get ready. Buy some shorts. Get ready to come out here and enjoy the weather. What do you know about Los Angeles? Have you ever spent any time here? Mason and I have been on the radio here 20 years, we’re both Ram fans. We’re going to be all over the team. What do you want to know about LA?

Aaron Donald: I know the weather’s beautiful. I know all the good things, but you know being a Pittsburgh kid, you know, you dont always get the warm weather. I aint going to be seeing no snow out there. Like I said, Ill get used to it, man and Im going to enjoy it when I get out there. I know the Rams fans are pumped up about us coming out to LA. We’re definitely excited. We start fresh, new beginning and we’ll try to go out there and win some games. Give these fans something to cheer about. It’s about winning games, and that’s what we’re about to start doing.

Donald, like a lot of the Rams players seem excited about moving to Los Angeles and hope that the move can help spark winning in the franchise. The Rams haven’t had a winning season since 2003 and haven’t been to the playoffs since 2004.
