Who Goes?

DT – Nick Fairley

DE – Eugene Sims

WR – Brian Quick

WR – Wes Welker

CB – Trumaine Johnson

S – Cody Davis

RB – Chase Reynolds

C – Brian Folkerts

The Los Angeles Rams‘ defensive line is stacked which is why it makes getting rid of players like Fairley  and Sims all that more difficult. Fairley was a good signing at first, but Michael Brockers and Aaron Donald just played too well to take off the field. Sims has been a good depth player, but the Rams can replace him.

This one hurts. Brian Quick was supposed to be the second coming and save the Rams offense from the horrendous drought that it had endured over the last decade. Unfortunately, that never happened. It’s better off here of both sides just move on from one another. Wes Welker on the other hand came in on a one-year deal to give the receiving corps a veteran presence and help on third down. It’s highly unlikely he’ll be back.

In the secondary it’s not going to be easy to not bring back Trumaine Johnson, but the fact of the matter is a team is going to pay him like a top cornerback and the Rams aren’t going to be able to afford it. This comes down to the money.

Cody Davis and Chase Reynolds have been good on special teams, but both are replaceable. With Folkerts, the Rams will most likely be looking to draft a center.
