LA Rams Free Agency: Trumaine > Janoris

The best possible scenario would be having both Trumaine Johnson and Janoris Jenkins back in Rams uniforms, but if they could only sign one back, Truamine has to be the choice. Johnson has a lot more upside to him, and can be an elite cornerback. Comparing stats wise, in the long run, Trumaine is more on the rise. Don’t get me wrong, Jenkins is an outstanding cornerback, but his unforgivable big plays he does allow sometimes could be the downfall.

Johnson also is the younger cornerback as well. Even though this was his first true season where he played as a Top 5 corner in the league, his passion and film points him in the right direction of being an outstanding long-term cornerback. In Pro Football Focus’ metrics, Johnson ranks No. 1 in quarterback rating against (47.4) and grades out as the league’s fifth-best cornerback.

The Los Angeles Rams are going to make a tough choice in the upcoming month, and these cornerbacks are heading in the right direction, but can they both come back? Maybe with the move to Los Angeles, both cornerbacks will love the spotlight and not fight over the money as much? Heck let’s just hope the Rams sign at least one of them.
