Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports that the Rams and Head Coach Jeff Fisher are currently engaged in extension talks for him and his coaching staff.

News broke today, that current Head Coach Jeff Fisher is in talks of having a contract extension. Fisher who has posted a 27-36-1 record in his four seasons with the team, could be landing a huge contract. Now nothing is official yet, but Fisher could be the official LA Rams coach for many of years.

Some figured that Fisher would be out of a job after the 2015 season with the Rams as he was unable once again to have at least a winning record. That obviously is not the case today as he could be the Rams coach for the future.

Nick Wagoner of ESPN broke the news via twitter as the report was filed to ESPN to have contract talks.

Now Fisher actually does have some experience with helping a team relocate. Interestingly enough, Fisher actually has experience being in charge of a team relocating, as he was the Oilers head coach when they moved to Tennessee and became the Titans.

However he was still an average coach with the Titans. One has to wonder exactly where this is coming from. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports previously mentioned that an extension could be in order for Fisher now that the team is relocating to Los Angeles, so this shouldn’t come as a complete surprise. So perhaps they have to talk contract extension.

The Rams have yet to post a winning record with Fisher at the helm. In fact, Fisher himself hasn’t led a team to an above .500 record since 2008.

Fisher’s 21 seasons coaching gives him an 169-156-1 record. If the Rams do give Fisher a contract extension let’s hope he can flip the script and prove he can reach the Super Bowl once again.
