The NFL released its schedule for the 2016 season and as per usual the Los Angeles Rams will have one of the most difficult schedule. A lot of that has to do with them playing in the NFC West, but even so, they will play the defending NFC champion Carolina Panthers. It’s not going to be an easy road, but here’s what the schedule looks like.
Week 1 – @San Francisco 49ers – Monday Night Football
Week 2 – Seattle Seahawks – 4:05 ET – FOX
Week 3 – @Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 4:05 ET – FOX
Week 4 – @Arizona Cardinals – 4:25 ET – FOX
Week 5 – Buffalo Bills – 4:25 ET – CBS
Week 6 – @Detroit Lions – 1:00 ET – FOX
Week 7 – New York Giants – 9:30AM ET – NFLN – LONDON
Week 8 – Bye
Week 9 – Carolina Panthers – 4:05 ET – FOX
Week 10 – @NY Jets – 1:00 ET – FOX
Week 11 – Miami Dolphins – 4:05 ET – FOX
Week 12 – @New Orleans Saints – 1:00 ET – FOX
Week 13 – @New England Patriots – 1:00 ET – FOX
Week 14 – Atlanta Falcons – 4:25 ET – FOX
Week 15 – @Seattle Seahawks – 8:25 ET – NBC – Sunday Night Football
Week 16 – San Francisco 49ers – 4:25 ET – FOX
Week 17 – Arizona Cardinals – 4:25 ET – FOX
It’s an interesting set up. The Rams will play three of their division games in the first four weeks of the season and then finish the year with three straight division games in a row.
The Rams have three primetime games playing on Monday night the opening game of the season, they play the New York Giants in London, then they play the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football.
Lastly, the bye week comes at a good time right in the middle of the season. It’s not too early and it’s not too late. The timing could not be more perfect as it will give them a good time to recoup after the trip to London as well as heal for the second half of the season.
