Tyler Higbee: 31 receptions for 401 yards and two touchdowns

Higbee is tough to project because Lance Kendricks is likely to start the season atop the depth chart at tight end. However, the prerequisites for tight ends in the AC include the ability to run an extended route tree, lineup as an H-Back or Y, and find space across the middle; Higbee checks all three boxes. As dissatisfying  as Jared Cook’s season was, his 79 targets were the second most on the team and that leaves a hole in the passing game. Kendricks is expected to see an increase in targets after posting 38 last season, but the Rams will utilize two tight end sets and split Higbee out wide, thus providing Goff with another weapon. Also, Cook’s nine red zone targets were tied for the team lead, a mark Higbee should approach.
