Have the Los Angeles Rams lost interest in Safety Donte Whitner?

Report: Los Angeles Rams bring in another free agent safety for a visit, have talks with Donte Whitner hit a stalemate?
It was clear with their first visit with Free Agent Safety Donte Whitner that the Los Angeles Rams are looking for depth in the secondary. With the loss of Safety Rodney McLeod to the Eagles, the Rams may need to add another secondary player for the much improved defense.
Donte Whitner made it clear last week via social media that he was going to sign with the Los Angeles Rams. Starting on May 12th, the Rams have the opportunity to official sign Whitner, but instead they flew in another safety for a visit. Pretty weird if you ask me. If Whitner talks were going well, they would not be looking at other secondary players.
Also via social media, Whitner said he would sign with the Rams pretty soon, well it’s been over a week since that last tweet. Are the Rams losing interest in Whitner? Might be that way with a visit with past Redskins safety this past Thursday. Via Ian Rapport, FA safety Dashon Goldson, previously of #Redskins, is visited the LA #Rams Thursday, source said. They brought in Donte Whitner in April, too
Goldson spent the first six years of his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers, before heading to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two seasons in 2013 and 2014. After those seasons, he would finish off with the Washington Redskins where had had a total of 110 tackles, two fumble recoveries and a interception. It’s clear the Rams want some depth in the secondary, and whether it be Whitner or Goldson it will be a good pick up for Los Angeles.
If the Los Angeles Rams were to sign one safety, who should it be? Does Donte Whitner or Dashon Goldson fit better in the Greg Williams style of defense?
