With football season right around the corner, Fantasy Football Leagues are currently being reactivated for the upcoming season. It’s time for some Fantasy Football!
Besides giving information about the Los Angeles Rams throughout the season, Ramblin Fan will also dive into Fantasy Football and give their own updates and opinions throughout the season. With Fantasy Football coming closer day by day, it’s time to look at some possible Rams players that could be a cornerstone in your fantasy football team.
Let’s begin with the 10th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Los Angeles Rams Running Back Todd Gurley was selected in the 2015 Draft with some speculation on whether or not he will ever be the same after tearing his ACL. Well, he has proved everybody wrong as he hurdled his way over players and into the Pro Bowl in his rookie year.
Hurley finished his rookie season by playing in 13 games and making history. Number 30 rushed 229 times for 1,106 yards, caught 21 passes for 188 receiving yards and a total of 10 touchdowns. Even though Gurley only played in 13 games, he managed to have the 3rd most rushing yards in the NFL, and tied 16th overall for most TD’s. With an already impressive first year in the NFL, what can Todd Gurley produce for his fantasy football owners in 2016?
Mike Clay and Matthew Berry released their 2016 Fantasy Football Rankings this week, and by the looks of it, they are predicting Gurley to have another top 5 RB performance. According to Berry, Gurley is the 6th best RB option in FF, with Lamar Miller (HOU) and Ezekiel Elliot (DAL) right above him. I personally think it’s kind of hard to predict a player who has yet to play in the NFL as a top player in 2016.
Next: Do the Los Angeles Rams have the best defensive line?
On the flip side, Clay has Gurley listed as the 4th best RB in FF as he beats out both Adrian Peterson (MIN) and Jamaal Charles (KC). Now that is a pretty bold statement. It’s clear both Clay and Berry see a bright future for Gurley in 2016, but could the rookie Pro-Bowler have a sophomore slump?
In a standard ESPN Fantasy Football League, Gurley totaled 176 points which was 5th best as a RB and 39th overall. How many points will Todd Gurley score this year in Fantasy Football, stay tuned for the next update on Los Angeles Rams in Fantasy Football.
