The Los Angeles Rams made their 2016 rookies official by signing them to contracts last week.

As has become standard practice for the Los Angeles Rams, the organization become one of the last to officially bring their rookies on board.

While it was a foregone conclusion that the Rams would ink their rookies to deals far enough in advance to avoid them missing any time on the field, it still had to come as a relief to both the players and the fans to hear that the deals have been done.

On Thursday, the Rams were able to sign all of their 2016 draft picks in succession.  The last to sign, of course, was the No. 1 overall pick, Jared Goff.

Now that their deals are signed, I’m sure the next question for many of the rookies is how they plan to spend some of that newly-earned money.

While the majority of the rookie class has yet to chime in with their thoughts on their new spending plans, Goff has already made it clear that even with his more than $18.5 million signing bonus, he has no plans to make any major purchases just yet.

It time, there is no doubt he will find some use for that money.  But it is likely a positive sign for Rams’ fans that his main focus continues to be his desire to be ready to go week one of the upcoming NFL season.

If he needs any suggestions on how to spend that money, I’m sure plenty of his teammates will be more than happy to let him get the check next time they go out to lunch.

If he doesn’t like that idea, maybe he will be in the market for Dodgers seasons tickets, so he can hang out more frequently with his new best friend, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig.
