One year after landing at No. 92, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald jumped up No. 14 on this year’s NFL Top 100 list.

If the first two seasons are any indication, the Los Angeles Rams should be extremely excited about what’s in store for defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

After cracking the top 100 last year (No. 92), Donald skyrocketed on this year’s NFL Top 100 list to No. 14, but the argument can be made the former-first round pick could have easily been a member of the top 10. Not only has Donald managed to reach the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons with the Rams, but he’s managed to record 20 total sacks without missing a single game in the process.

With the team’s recent move, Los Angeles fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about Donald as the Rams showed the league last season they have a defense on the rise and could cause plenty of problems for opponents during the 2016 season. Obviously, Donald is going to play a key factor in whether or not that happens heading into his third season with the Rams, but Donald has already proven to be the type of player who is only going to improve with experience.

Los Angeles will enter the 2016 season as underdogs in the NFC West once again when considering the high expectations for the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks, but Donald and the Rams’ defense will be the team’s best chance at having a shot in the division.  As impressive as landing at No. 14 on the list is, Donald and Rams fans know he’s deserving of being in the top 10 on the list–which is why it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the defensive star climb higher on the list at this point next year.
