Chance to Develop Jared Goff

As frustrating as the quarterback situation was in 2015 for the Rams, at least the team was smart enough to realize their mistake regarding Foles and move up to select Goff with the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The verdict is still out whether or not Goff will start as a rookie or the team will let him Keenum run the offense so the rookie can learn from the sidelines in 2016. However, if Los Angeles was smart, they would throw Goff in the mix right away and give Fisher a chance to help the rookie adjust to playing at the NFL level right away.

If the organization parts way with Fisher before even giving him a chance to truly develop Goff as the team’s franchise quarterback, it will only cause more problems down the road. Hopefully, Fisher takes a similar approach as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Jameis Winston and the Tennessee Titans with Marcus Mariota by making Goff the starter right away to show why he should continue being head coach for years to come.
