After an impressive rookie year, the Los Angeles Rams have high expectations for Todd Gurley during his sophomore season.
The Los Angeles Rams knew the risks behind selecting Todd Gurley in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft when considering nobody knew what to expect from the running back after suffering a torn ACL in the middle of his junior season at Georgia. After just one season, not only is Gurley full healthy and recovered from that ACL injury, but he now has the chance to emerge as one of the league’s top running backs in 2016.

Gurley hasn’t been shy about how talented of a football player he is by claiming fantasy football owners should strongly consider taking him first overall in upcoming drafts and who can blame him when looking at the numbers displayed as a rookie. In just 13 games last season, Gurley made plenty of fantasy football owners happy after rushing for 1,106 yards to go along with 10 touchdowns.
What’s even more scary–all signs point to Gurley surpassing these numbers with ease heading into year two with the Rams.
One of the main reasons Los Angeles managed to finish 7-9 in 2015 was due to their stellar defense and with a better offense, they could have easily won a couple more games. With one season of experience under his belt, it will be up to Gurley to carry the load on offense this upcoming season and help the Rams compete in what will be a very tough division once again in the NFC West.
