5 Memorable Moments From Orlando Pace’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Speech
By Dan Parzych
Setting Hall of Fame Goals as a Kid
When Pace was a kid growing up in Sandusky, Ohio, he set a goal for himself to one day make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
Not bad for a kid with big dreams, right?
Even at an early age, Pace seemed to know he was destined for greatness as he realized the man upstairs gave him a special talent early on when looking at his size and he never looked back. Pace discussed how he was always a self motivator and recognized the people from early in his life who influenced him to stay away from all of the negative activities going on in Sandusky–which was never the safest place in the world when he was growing up.
Pace’s story about setting such high goals at a young age is just one of many examples of why he’s such a great individual. Hopefully, this part of Pace’s speech will motivate other young football players setting big dreams for themselves as well.
