Spruce Springsteen (After “The Boss)

One of the biggest surprises from the Rams preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys was the emergence of Nelson Spruce at wide receiver and now–Los Angeles fans hope he can find a way to earn a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.

Spruce quickly became a fan favorite after catching six passes for 51 yards to go along with touchdown in that game, but the wideout also suffered a knee sprain during the game and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. With all of the competition at wide receiver, this injury could hurt Spruce’s chances of earning one of the spots on the team.
