Still, that doesn’t mean Jeff Fisher isn’t going to have the rookie quarterback gain as much experience as possible in the preseason on Saturday, Goff threw the first of hopefully many touchdown passes in a Rams uniform.
After his preseason debut against the Dallas Cowboys lasted shorter than expected, Goff received a ton of playing time against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday and completed 8 of 12 passes for 82 yards. However, it was Goff’s first career touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to Malcolm Brown from 10 yards out that has Rams fans excited about what’s in store for the future.
Like most rookies, Goff has looked nervous in the pocket at times over the first two games–especially when he first entered Saturday’s game and fumbled on his second play. Despite the poor start, Goff seemed to be more comfortable over the rest of the game and that touchdown pass will hopefully boost the rookie’s confidence over the rest of the preseason.
