Malcolm Brown is fighting for a roster spot on the Los Angeles Rams and is making a strong case over the first two games.

Los Angeles Rams running back Malcolm Brown is one of many players on the team fighting to make a strong case for a spot on the 53-man roster for the upcoming season. Through two preseason games, Brown has certainly made a strong case and what helps his case even more is the fact he’s currently the rushing leader with 134 yards.

Normally, this kind of statistic wouldn’t be meaningful for preseason action, but being the leader through two games is something the Rams will strongly consider when making roster cuts down the road. Thanks to Tre Mason making the decision to skip training camp and go to Florida instead, Los Angeles has an extra position open at the running back position.

So far, Brown is taking every advantage of the situation and showing the team what he would bring to the table for the upcoming season. Not only did Brown lead the Rams with 68 rushing yards on 12 carries against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, but he caught a key 10-yard pass from Jared Goff for a touchdown in the beginning of the fourth quarter–which ended up being the difference maker in the game.
