From trips to Disneyland to Case Keenum studying plays with his wife, here’s a look at some of the top moments from this week’s episode of Hard Knocks with the Rams:

  • An emotional moment in the beginning with rookie wide receiver Paul McRoberts and Jeff Fisher. Unfortunately, McRoberts found out at camp about the murder of his step brother–who was only 18 years old.  It was good to see Fisher comfort McRoberts during this difficult situation and realize football was the last thing the wideout should be worried about in that current moment.
  • William Hayes and Akeem Ayers took their families to Disneyland during one of the off days and watching their reactions on rides while wearing Mickey Mouse ears was hysterical.
  • Apparently, Brandon Fisher, the son of Jeff, was the one jumping up and down the sidelines during the “Music City Miracle” play for the Titans. It was cool to see Fisher discuss how the NFL has a ton of father-son coaches and the advantage for some of these kids growing up in the business.
  • Nelson Spruce was the surprise hero against the Cowboys, but the wideout unfortunately injured his left knee at the end of the game. Player injuries is one of the biggest downfalls of training camp and Fisher was furious to see Todd Gurley getting tackled in practice and falling to the ground. Fisher realizes the importance of Gurley’s health and made it clear to the coaches how defenders need to treat him like the quarterback in practice.
  • Eugene Sims showed off his skills with the JUGS football catching machine and even made some impressive one-handed grabs. Who knows–maybe the Rams will find a way to use him on offense like the Houston Texans do with J.J. Watt from time to time.
  • Every single player on the Rams seems to be terrified of Mike Singletary and rightfully so. Singletary was one of the greatest linebackers when he played in the NFL and members of the team know not to mess with him. One of the main things to keep an eye on this season is the work Singletary puts in to make Alec Ogletree the next great linebacker.
  • Keenum’s wife Kimberly helps him practice with the play calling by reading plays off and it’s the ultimate couple goals. One of the best moments from this episode was seeing Kimberly quiz Case in the kitchen while making breakfast and it’s clear she’s willing to do whatever it takes to help husband succeed with the starting job.
  • Is there anything more awesome than seeing Ogletree’s love of fatherhood? The huge smile on his face when he gets to Facetime with his newborn is one of the top feel good moments from the episode and it’s amazing to see the pride he has for being a father.
  • Speaking of cute kids, Austin Hill‘s daugher Rielyn can only be described as adorable. From running routes with her father to shedding tears after he was forced to return to practice, Rams fans are quickly falling in love with Rielyn.
  • Los Angeles has to love the emotion Ogletree is showing on defense and his frustration after the team allowed the Chiefs to score on their opening drive. It’s easy to see how much of an impact Ogletree is going to have as a leader for this defense in 2016.
  • After Jared Goff threw his first touchdown in a Rams uniform, it was a special moment to see all of the reactions from players and staff members. Everybody realizes just how special Goff is and even though it’s preseason, that first touchdown took a huge weight off his shoulders.

Once again, Los Angeles came through with another solid episode of Hard Knocks and fans should be excited about what’s in store for the next episode.
