1. New England Patriots (3)

With each preseason game, the New England Patriots feel more confident about Jimmy Garoppolo handling the starting job at quarterback over the first four games without Tom Brady.

The Patriots find themselves in a tough position when looking at the tough schedules at the beginning of the season, but Garoppolo has given the team plenty of reasons to feel confident with the way he’s performed in the preseason. Garoppolo’s 57 passing yards against Carolina may not be anything to brag about, but it’s the lack of mistakes he’s made, which has been the most impressive statistic so far.

Even if New England loses one or two games with Garoppolo at quarterback, everybody knows Brady will be playing with a vengeance when he returns and will have this team ready to make another run at the AFC East title.
