2016 NFL Power Rankings: Los Angeles Rams Fall Heading Into Final Week of Preseason

30. San Francisco 49ers (30)
First off, if the situation with Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers wasn’t a distraction before, it’s certainly going to be a distraction now after the quarterback made the decision to sit during the national anthem this weekend.
As far as his performance goes, Kaepernick didn’t give the 49ers any reason to consider him the favorite over Blaine Gabbert. In fact, both quarterbacks recorded just 14 passing yards against the Green Bay Packers, although Gabbert only attempted three passes.
Chip Kelly joined this team knowing he was going to have plenty of work cut out for him, but the head coach may be over his head in his first season as head coach. No matter who ends up being the quarterback for this team, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to matter as the 49ers appear to be heading towards a disastrous 2016 season with the lack of talent on both sides of the football.
Next: 29. Detroit Lions
