5 Takeaways From Los Angeles Rams Loss to the Denver Broncos

Jared Goff’s Rookie Struggles Continue
Unfortunately, Goff didn’t see the same success as Keenum against the Broncos, but not everything was the rookie’s fault.
Los Angeles has developed a common habit in the preseason when it comes to dropped passes and life would have been much easier for Goff if some of his teammates could hold on to the football. Goff only completed 4 of 12 passes for 45 yards, but these numbers could have been a little better without some of the dropped passes by the wide receivers.
Goff knows the starting job at quarterback will eventually belong to him when the time is right, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. The No. 1 pick has received plenty of opportunities to shine in the preseason and while there’s been a few key highlights, the negatives have certainly outweighed the positives.
On another note, did anyone else cringe when watching Goff slide during third down on his first playing drive? Clearly, someone needs to take a few lessons on sliding as a quarterback.
