2016 NFL Power Rankings Week 1: Where Do the Los Angeles Rams Currently Rank?
By Dan Parzych
17. Atlanta Falcons (17)
Hopefully, the ankle injury Julio Jones is dealing with won’t prevent him from playing in the season opener for the Atlanta Falcons against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the wide receiver is going to be an important piece to this team’s success.
When looking at all of the talent on offense, the Falcons always seem to be one of those early contenders at the beginning of the season, but that ended up backfiring for this team in 2015 as the team hopes for better results this time around. After a 6-1 start, Atlanta seemed to be a lock for the playoffs last year before losing seven of their final nine games to finish the season with a disappointing 8-8 record.
Matt Ryan and Jones will always be considered one of the league’s top quarterback-receiver duos and these two will be the deciding factors behind whether Atlanta has what it takes to make a run at the division title.
