Packers Over Jaguars

Just think about how the Green Bay Packers were on the verge of reaching the NFC Championship, despite all of the struggles Aaron Rodgers experienced in a season played without Jordy Nelson.

Not only is Nelson healthy heading into 2016, but Eddie Lacy seems determined for a breakout season after spending the offseason slimming down and eating healthier. The fourth-year running back received plenty of criticism for his lack of big plays in 2015, but Lacy’s offseason approach just makes the Packers’ offense even more dangerous heading into Week 1.

Speaking of high-powered offenses, the Jacksonville Jaguars look to build off last year’s success after Blake Bortles took advantage of a dynamic duo at wide receiver in Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns to throw for 4,428 yards with 35 touchdowns. Green Bay may have the advantage in this one, but don’t be surprised if Jacksonville helps turn this matchup into one of the highest-scoring games from opening weekend.
