Colts Over Lions

Andrew Luck has always been the type of quarterback who is motivated to be one of the best in the NFL. And after the Indianapolis Colts missed out on the playoffs last year while the quarterback dealt with numerous injuries, it’s safe to say Luck will be motivated more than ever for a monster bounce-back season.

Last year was the first time Indianapolis failed to reach the postseason since drafting Luck, but the fifth-year quarterback is ready to go after looking sharp in the preseason. With the Houston Texans emerging as surprise AFC South champions last year, the Colts realize the division title will be more difficult to win this time around.

Unfortunately for the Detroit Lions, it’s tough to imagine this team coming through with a win in Week 1. For a team adjusting to life without Calvin Johnson, the Lions are going to need a strong offensive performance from Matthew Stafford if they’re going to have any shot at pulling off the road win.
