Chiefs Over Chargers

All hope seemed lost for the Kansas City Chiefs last season after going 1-5 over their first six games. Instead of hitting the panic button, Andy Reid pulled this squad together and made one of the most unexpected runs in the AFC by earning a Wild Card spot after finishing the season on a 10-game winning streak.

After advancing to the Divisional Round of the playoffs in January, expectations are even higher for the Chiefs as they open up the 2016 season against the San Diego Chargers. Philip Rivers and company are coming off a disappointing season in which they won just four games, but the Chargers should see better results this year now that key players on both sides of the football are healthy.

It’s always entertaining to see AFC West rivals square off against one another, but it’s difficult to imagine San Diego pulling off a road win playing  in a hostile environment at Arrowhead. Not to mention the tough defense of Kansas City will be motivated more than ever to make sure this team starts off the season on a hot note.
