9. Arizona Cardinals (8)

Even without two key stars playing for the New England Patriots, the Arizona Cardinals still couldn’t find a way to win playing at home in the national spotlight Sunday night.

For a team that struggled for most of the preseason, Bruce Arians has every reason in the world to be frustrated over his team’s performance against the Patriots to kickoff the season. What makes this loss even more frustrating is Arizona found themselves in the perfect situation to kick the game-winning field goal at the end of the game–only to see Chandler Catanzaro miss due to a poor snap.

On paper, the Cardinals have one of the league’s top offenses in the league, and Larry Fitzgerald proved he still has what it takes to be effective in the passing game after catching eight passes for 81 yards with two touchdowns. This may only be one game, but this was supposed to be a game Arizona was going to take advantage of on the schedule due to New England playing without Tom Brady.

Instead, the frustrations from preseason appear to have carried over to the regular season, as this team still has plenty of issues to work on.
