With the Los Angeles Rams entering the bye week on a three game losing streak, it appears Jeff Fisher is officially on the hot seat.

At the beginning of the season, there were talks surrounding a possible extension for Jeff Fisher from the Los Angeles Rams, despite the head coach failing to record a winning season since joining the team in 2012.

While the verdict is still out on whether that will actually happen between Fisher and the Rams, it looks like the head coach will be facing plenty of pressure when the team returns from the bye in Week 9.

In fact, it appears the next four games could determine Fisher’s fate with the team as they currently sit at the bottom of the NFC West with a 3-4 record. With that being said, Los Angeles shouldn’t be surprised with the lack of success from Fisher when considering he has now lost the third most games in NFL history following Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

One of the main reasons why the Rams seemed likely to extend Fisher at the beginning of the season was due to the fact they wanted to give him a chance to develop Jared Goff at quarterback. With the way Case Keenum has looked over the last three games, fans are anxious more than ever to see the rookie step in as the starter, but that seems even more unlikely now that Fisher’s job is reportedly on the line depending on how these next four games go.

For a team that was considered to be on the rise in the NFC after a 3-1 start, it’s amazing to see how quickly this season has gone sour for Los Angeles. While most teams use the bye week to rest up and relax, Fisher will have plenty to think about instead as his team’s Week 9 matchup against the Carolina Panthers certainly won’t be an easy one.
