Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley is still looking for his first 100-yard game of the 2016 season.
The Los Angeles Rams had high expectations for Todd Gurley at the beginning of the 2016 season after the former Georgia star took home Rookie of the Year honors last season after recording 1,106 rushing yards to go along with 10 touchdowns in 13 games.
Unfortunately, Gurley has struggled for the most part in 2016 as nobody could have predicted the second-year running back would be entering the second half of the season without a 100-yard game. And as bad as it sounds, it doesn’t look like this weekend is going to be Gurley’s first time breaking that mark either as the Rams face a tough matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Last weekend, Carolina’s defense looked like the dominant team from a year ago after recording eight sacks on Carson Palmer as Ron Rivera‘s squad went on to win their second game of the season. If the Panthers found a way to apply this much pressure to Palmer, just imagine the type of game they may have against a Rams’ offense that has looked horrendous over the last couple of games, especially at running back.
Gurley has already been at a disadvantage all season with opponents stacking the box more often than usual and with Carolina currently ranked third when it comes to stopping the run, chances are the Pro Bowl running back could struggle again. Only time will tell for Gurley and the Rams as this team will look to put an end to their three game losing streak after the bye week.
