Jeff Fisher is scheduled to do an interview with ESPN for the first time since being fired by the Los Angeles Rams.
Former Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher is set to do his first interview since being fired on Monday.
Fisher was let go after the Rams lost an embarrassing contest in Week 14 to the Atlanta Falcons. Since then, Fisher has released a statement, but he has yet to do an official interview.
Originally scheduled for Wednesday, Fisher has pushed his interview back and it now looks like he might do it on Friday, which will happen on ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike Show:
Mike and Mike airs from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET weekdays, although it isn’t clear exactly what time during the show Fisher’s interview will take place.
Why Fisher pushed it back isn’t clear at the moment, but he might have been better off doing it before the Rams’ Thursday Night Football matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Now if the Rams somehow win this game, Fisher will have to do an interview after the his old team won its first game since his departure. If the Rams lose, it will be of no benefit to Fisher as Los Angeles losing is just business as usual in 2016.
It’ll be interesting to see what Fisher says and how in-depth he goes about being fired. One thing’s for sure: any explanation coming from Fisher is likely to include at least one of his patented excuses.
