2017 NFL Draft Order: Updated Selections Heading Into Divisional Round
By Dan Parzych
16. Baltimore Ravens
After Steve Smith decided to call it a career, the Baltimore Ravens will hopefully spend the offseason focusing on adding another wideout for Joe Flacco to use in the passing game. The Ravens have always been known for a team with a strong defense, but the only chance of this team competing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North is if they find a way to improve their passing game.
Baltimore was one of the most difficult teams to figure out this season when looking at the inconsistencies as a team. One week, the Ravens would like one of the best teams in the league, only to come back the following game with a disastrous performance.
Even after a 3-0 start at the beginning of the year, Baltimore went on to lose their next four games before turning their season around to eventually be in position to win the division title over Pittsburgh. The Ravens may have fell short of their main goal of reaching the postseason, but hopefully this team comes back next year to continue being one of the team’s to beat in the AFC, assuming they provide Flacco with a reliable weapon to work with in the passing game.
