2017 NFL Draft Order: Updated Selections Heading Into Divisional Round

3. Chicago Bears
Speaking of team’s that need to move on from their current quarterback, it will be an interesting offseason for the Chicago Bears when it comes to figuring out what to do with Jay Cutler. Even though he was limited to playing in just five games this past season due to numerous injuries, Cutler has received every opportunity in the world to prove himself at quarterback for the Bears.
The fact that Cutler has only recorded three winning seasons during his eight-year span in Chicago is the perfect example of why it’s time to move on from the veteran quarterback and start fresh with someone new. Not to mention, there were rumors this season about how Cutler was losing respect in the locker room from some of his teammates, which is the last issue any team wants to be dealing with.
The circumstances would be much different if Cutler had brought the team a Super Bowl by now, but the Bears haven’t even been to the playoffs since the 2010 season. There have been times when Cutler has looked like one of the league’s toughest quarterbacks, but a team like Chicago can only give their quarterback so many chances to prove he deserves the job.
After finishing at the bottom of the NFC North in each of the last three seasons, a change is clearly needed for the Bears.
