Believe it or not, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Kenny Britt seems like a good fit for the Philadelphia Eagles.

At the moment, all signs point to the Los Angeles Rams moving on from wide receiver Kenny Britt once free agency officially gets underway, despite being one of the lone highlights on offense for the team during the 2016 season. If Britt does end up leaving the Rams after three seasons, the one team to keep an eye on as a possible destination for the wideout could be the Philadelphia Eagles.

ESPN’s Tim McManus recently discussed the idea of the Eagles being a potential landing spot for Britt, and when considering the factors, it’s really not that crazy of an idea. Not only does Philadelphia seem to finally have a quarterback to build the franchise around in Carson Wentz, but joining the Eagles would provide Britt with the opportunity to reunite with receivers coach Mike Groh.

Keep in mind how successful Britt was last year in the passing game during Groh’s only year in Los Angeles after the wideout caught 68 passes for 1,002 yards to go along with the five touchdowns. In fact, thanks to these surprise numbers by Britt, the Rams saw their first 1,000-yard receiver since the 2007 season with Torry Holt, which shows how weak their receiving corps has been over the years.

As much as Los Angeles needs help in the wide receiver department, keeping Britt around may be more difficult when considering the type of money he’s going to be looking for. Britt may be turning 29 next September, but after having the best season of his career in 2016, there’s a good chance he’s going to draw interest from plenty of teams if the Rams do end up deciding to part ways.

Only time will tell if one of those teams ends up being the Eagles, but when looking at all of the factors coming into play on Britt’s end, it does seem like a strong possibility.
