According to Cathy Locke of The Sacramento Bee, officers were called Sunday night in regards to a child custody dispute, and upon arrival, police noticed injuries to the upper body of a woman. While Westbrooks was taken into custody for suspicion of domestic violence, the defensive tackle was released from Sacramento County Jail on Monday.
Obviously, football is the least important factor in this situation, as it’s disgusting to see any individual be part of an incident like this. And while more details are expected to come out over the next day or two, Westbrooks should be ashamed for being part of an incident like this.
Despite spending the last three seasons with the Rams, hasn’t made that much of an impact with the defense after only making two starts while recording a total of four sacks. Westbrooks originally signed with Los Angeles (who were in St. Louis at the time) in 2014 after going undrafted and is currently a restricted free agent.
