20. Indianapolis Colts

When looking at the Indianapolis Colts and all of the money invested in Andrew Luck at quarterback, the team has done everything in their power to provide him with the necessary weapons to succeed. But one of the main reasons why the Colts have failed to reach the playoffs over the last two years was due to all of the weak areas on the defensive side of the football.

Luckily, Indianapolis has been taking a different approach this offseason by focusing on improving the defense, and when seeing the early moves that have been made, the team is doing well so far. Signing a talented linebacker like Jabaal Sheard was a huge move for the Colts, and there’s no question he’s going to have an immediate impact after spending the last two seasons with the New England Patriots.

Chuck Pagano will enter the 2017 season on the hot seat once again after watching his team struggle over the last two seasons, but hopefully that will change since the defensive issues seem to be addressed so far in free agency. With a successful free agency period along with a solid draft, maybe Luck and the Colts will figure out a way to compete for the AFC South title for the first time since 2014.
