19. Washington Redskins
What on earth is going on with the Washington Redskins? Between the firing of general manager Scott McCloughan to all of the drama surrounding Kirk Cousins failing to receive a long-term deal from the organization, the Redskins have gone from potential contender in the NFC to a hot mess from an organization standpoint.
By using the franchise tag on Cousins for the second year in a row, there’s a good chance Cousins will just pack his bags and leave at this time next year, especially since Washington failed to bring back two of his top weapons from the 2016 season. While DeSean Jackson ended up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pierre Garcon decided to join new head coach Kyle Shanahan as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
Sure, the addition of Terrelle Pryor will help Cousins in the passing game, but he still has plenty to prove as a wide receiver in the NFL, which is why the Redskins were more comfortable signing him to a one-year deal. Of all the teams in the NFC East, Washington seems to be in the worst shape heading into next season when looking at all of the issues the organization is already dealing with before the draft.
