14. Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans knew they were making the right move after trading the top pick to the Los Angeles Rams last offseason in order to earn a first rounder in this year’s draft, but nobody could have predicted that would turn out to be the fifth overall pick. With two picks in the first round, the Titans are in amazing shape heading into this year’s draft, but the team realizes the importance of having a successful offseason in free agency as well.
Losing Kendall Wright to the Chicago Bears is a move with little impact for Tennessee’s offense when seeing how Marcus Mariota will be just fine receiving production from other players, but defense is going to be a key factor for this team competing in the AFC South. Cornerback was one of the team’s biggest needs heading into the offseason, and hopefully Logan Ryan turns out to be the answer the Titans have been looking for.
Not many players are fortunate enough to win two Super Bowls despite only playing in the NFL for four seasons, but that’s exactly been the case for Ryan from his time with the Patriots. That kind of winning experience is just what Tennessee’s defense needs to reach the next level of becoming playoff contenders in the AFC.
