6. Green Bay Packers
Every time there seems to be a reason to freakout over the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers is always there to remind everyone to relax and assure that it will all turn out just fine in the long run. This time around, Packers fans seemed to be losing their minds after learning that contract talks between the Packers and Jared Cook had broken off.
Instead of signing Cook to a new deal, Green Bay brought two other tight ends on board in Super Bowl champion Martellus Bennett and former Los Angeles Rams tight end Lance Kendricks. While the signing of Bennett turned out to be a huge surprise when considering the interest he was drawing from other teams, the addition of Kendricks, who was recently released by the Rams, will help provide the team with another veteran on offense.
As for Eddie Lacy, it’s still unknown where the running back is going to end up playing next year, but the Packers will need to address the issue at offensive line after T.J. Lang ended up signing with the Detroit Lions. Protecting their star quarterback in Rodgers is always a top priority, and losing Lang to a division rival makes this move even tougher to accept.
