5. Robert Woods

For a team in desperate need of improvement at the wide receiver position, the Los Angeles Rams had plenty of options to consider in free agency. And even though they failed to land a big-name player like Pierre Garcon or Alshon Jeffery, the Rams hope the signing of Robert Woods turns out to be one of the most underrated moves of the offseason.

Los Angeles agreed to a five-year deal with the wide receiver on the first official day of free agency worth up to $39 million, and even though he only has a career high of 699 receiving yards, the potential is certainly there to develop that chemistry with Jared Goff. Thanks to the Rams bringing in the necessary help on the coaching staff to assist with the development process of the former California star, a player like Woods could end up being just what Goff needs to get the ball rolling on offense.

Of course, the addition of Woods isn’t going to fix all of the issues in the passing game, but at least it’s a small step in the right direction for Los Angeles. Between the additions of Woods along with Sean McVay hopefully figuring out a way to get the best out of Tavon Austin, the Rams seem to be making the right moves to improve from last year’s embarrassing offense.
