2. Oakland Raiders (Away)

For the second week in a row, the Los Angeles Rams will face another team from a year ago that managed to make the playoffs in the Oakland Raiders (at least until the move to Las Vegas becomes official). In fact, if it wasn’t for a late injury to Derek Carr towards the end of the regular season, there’s a good chance the Raiders would have advanced further in the playoffs, but the only thing the team can do now is focus on the future, and remaining strong contenders in the AFC for the 2017 season.

Recovering from a broken fibula is no easy task, and when looking at how serious this injury can be, it will be interesting to see how Oakland approaches the preseason with Carr. While the team will most likely want to use him as much as possible to make sure he gets used to lining up under center again, the last thing the Raiders want to do is push their beloved quarterback too hard in the preseason, and put him at a higher risk to suffer another injury.

No matter what happens with Carr, at least the Rams’ defense will have another solid opportunity to prove themselves against an offense in the Raiders that should rank near the top of the league once again. Plus, if Marshawn Lynch ends up deciding to come out of retirement to join Oakland, it will make this matchup even more exciting to watch for Los Angeles fans.
