12. Cleveland Browns: Clemson QB Deshaun Watson

Thanks to last offseason’s deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cleveland Browns are lucky enough to have two picks in the top 12, including the top overall pick. And if all goes well, the Browns will hopefully not only land one of the top defensive stars, but finally fix their issues at quarterback as well.

Cleveland fans have experienced plenty of suffering over the years when it comes to poor quarterback play, but could this finally be the year in which the curse is broken? Hue Jackson has been pushing for the team to use one of their picks in the first round on a potential franchise quarterback, and even though the debate is still out there on whether he is worthy of being a first rounder, Deshaun Watson‘s numbers show he’s worth the risk anyway.

Between the 76 touchdown passes thrown over the last two seasons at Clemson to the leadership skills displayed this year to help the school win the national championship, Watson is just what the Browns need to put an end to all those years of suffering at quarterback. It may sound crazy to believe, but Watson could be part of Cleveland’s plans to continue their successful offseason in the draft after making a splash in free agency.
