18. Tennessee Titans: Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey

As mentioned earlier in this article, the Tennessee Titans are in outstanding shape for this year’s draft by having two picks (No. 5 and No. 18) in the first round. What makes being in this position even more exciting is the Titans fell just shy of earning a playoff spot in the AFC last year after finishing with a 9-7 record, as many predict them to be one of the top teams to keep an eye on when it comes to making the jump to serious contenders.

In other words, thanks to last year’s trade with the Los Angeles Rams to help earn the fifth overall pick in this year’s draft, Tennessee’s solid team from last season is about to get even stronger with the addition of two solid rookies in the first round. From the perspective of the Titans, these two picks in the first round give this team a major advantage to fill needs on both sides of the football, and after focusing on wide receiver early on, expect this team to approach cornerback at No. 18.

Marlon Humphrey was a nightmare for opponents during his time at Alabama thanks to his massive hits and ability to read defenders. Add Humphrey into the mix of a defense that seemed to be on the rise at times in 2016 with some impressive performances, Tennessee has the potential to be in amazing shape at the start of the regular season, assuming there are no setbacks with Marcus Mariota of course.
