1. Cleveland Browns: Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett

Having one of the top picks in the NFL Draft has become a common trend for the Cleveland Browns over the years, but the last time the team had the top overall pick came during the 2000 season when they selected Courtney Brown out of Penn State. The good thing for the Browns in this year’s draft is they have two picks in the first round thanks to last year’s deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, and as tempting as it seems to select a quarterback, Myles Garrett seems like the obvious choice here.

Many will argue that Garrett is the best player from this year’s draft class, and after only winning one game all of last season, Cleveland needs all of the help they can get on the defensive side of the football heading into 2017. After seeing the impact Garrett made on the Aggies’ defense over the last three years, his work ethic makes him seem capable of having an immediate impact as a rookie.

Between his ability to break through defenders to the fact he recorded 31 sacks in 34 games at Texas A&M, all signs point to Garrett having a successful career at the NFL level. And if the Browns end up passing on Garrett once Thursday rolls around, there’s a good chance this will be another one of those draft picks they made a poor decision on.
