2017 NFL Mock Draft: Final Predictions For First Round
By Dan Parzych
23. New York Giants: Wisconsin OT Ryan Ramczyk
Despite the addition of D.J. Fluker, the New York Giants still have a long way to go when it comes to addressing their need with improving the offensive line. Eli Manning is already in a good position with having two reliable targets in Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall, but without the proper protection from the offensive line, it will only put him at risk for throwing more interceptions.
Unfortunately for New York, this seems like one of those scenarios in which the team is going to look at the best players available for multiple positions. Numerous teams are expected to use their first-round pick addressing the offensive line, but the one player that could fall into their hands at No. 23 is Ryan Ramczyk.
Many believe the former Wisconsin star is the best offensive tackle from this year’s draft class, and when seeing the type of success he had in 2016 during his final season with the Badgers, it’s safe to assume he’s going to make a great NFL star. Just imagine the potential surrounding Manning and the offense of the Giants with an offensive tackle like Ramczyk making a significant impact early on to help this team overtake the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
