3. Chicago Bears: Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore

Believe it or not, after three-straight seasons of finishing at the bottom of the NFC North, there are plenty of people who believe the Chicago Bears could end up being one of the biggest surprise teams next year. And if they can take advantage of having the third overall pick in this year’s draft, there’s every reason in the world to believe that could actually happen.

Give the Bears credit for making the tough decision to part ways with Jay Cutler in the offseason, and focus on building the offense around Mike Glennon moving forward. Now that Chicago has invested a ton of money ($43.5 million over three years) in their new quarterback, the defense will be a major focus once the draft officially gets underway on Thursday.

Cornerback has been a major need for the Bears this offseason when looking at the struggles from the 2016 season, and chances are the team will strongly consider Ohio State standout Marshon Lattimore. For a team in desperate need of help at cornerback, Lattimore is arguably the best at the position from this year’s class, and he seems ready to bring his shutdown abilities to the NFL level, just like he did over the last two years with the Buckeyes.
