5. Tennessee Titans: Clemson WR Mike Williams

When the Tennessee Titans agreed to make the trade with the Los Angeles Rams last offseason for their first-round pick in this year’s draft, they never could have dreamed of being lucky enough it would land them a selection this high. After finishing with a 7-9 record in 2015, last year was supposed to be the season in which the Rams made the jump to being contenders, which obviously didn’t happen after the team only won four games.

With that being said, one team’s loss is another’s gain now that Tennessee has a glorious opportunity to build off last year’s impressive 9-7 finish with this high of a pick in the first round. With two picks in the first round, the Titans are expected to use one of them on a cornerback, but the best option at this spot seems to be providing Marcus Mariota another weapon to work with in the passing game.

Mike Williams is the type of deep threat that will make life easier for any quarterback at the NFL level, and this addition at wideout will only elevate Mariota’s game to an even higher level. There’s a reason why Tennessee is considered one of the top teams to make the jump to being contenders in the AFC, and having someone like Williams would only increase those odds.
