23. Los Angeles Chargers

If it wasn’t for so many injuries on both sides of the football over the last two seasons, the Los Angeles Chargers would have been in much better shape, but at least the team has every reason in the world to feel confident about competing in what should be a very tough AFC West in 2017. Philip Rivers has always proven to be one of the league’s most competitive players, and when seeing the team used their first-round pick on wide receiver Mike Williams, the Chargers quarterback has to be thrilled over what could be in store for next season.

Even though Corey Davis was the first receiver taken by the Tennessee Titans, many considered Williams to be the best player at his position from this year’s class, and rightfully so when seeing the success he had last year helping lead Clemson to a national championship. For a player of with his size, it won’t be long before Williams becomes a favorite target for Rivers on offense to help Los Angeles become contenders again in the AFC.

And if the addition of Williams wasn’t already exciting enough, the Chargers may end up with one of the biggest steals of the second round after drafting Forrest Lamp at No. 38. When considering many expected to see Lamp gone by the time the second round got underway, Los Angeles is certainly thrilled to have him be part of the team heading into 2017.
