New Orleans Saints (November 26)
Unlike the previous two games, there wouldn’t be much meaning behind the Los Angeles Rams wearing their throwback uniforms against the New Orleans Saints other than the fact they would be facing one of the league’s top offenses led by Drew Brees. Even if Brandin Cooks is no longer in the picture, as long as Brees can remain healthy under center, this team should have what it takes to cause all sorts of problems for opponents in the NFC, especially after focusing on improving the defense in this year’s NFL Draft.
New Orleans has always been a difficult team to figure out over the years since their defense always seems to struggle, and finish near the bottom of the league, but at least their high-powered offense always seems to be on a completely different level compared to most teams. In fact, the Saints didn’t hold back at all last season when facing the Rams in Week 12 after cruising to an easy 49-21 victory thanks to Brees recording five total touchdowns (one rushing).
Los Angeles may seem to have the advantage this time around playing at home late in November, but their defense will need to be at their best to contain New Orleans on offense. Not to mention depending on where both teams stand at this point in the season, this game between the Rams and Saints could end up being important when it comes to the NFC playoff picture.
